Since I'm not on social media for Lent (Easter can't come soon enough), I'll tell a little story about Buster and Grits. Remember Fans, Buster is our family cat of 14 years and Grits is my little sister's cat and he is only 2 years old. When you envision their relationship- think about the relationship of the old man and young boy in Up! Except more hostile and there won't be a happy ending.
Buster has been an only cat for all his life. I recently read in this month's Readers Digest (side note: it's a GREAT article about 50 secrets your animal will never tell you!! FIFTY!!!) that older cats who have been only cats ,especially males, will NOT interact well with new cats/kittens whom come into their territory. That's putting it mildly. Here is one of their first nights together as Uncle and Nephew….
Here they are towards the beginning of the conversation….Both looking pretty riled up and sassy.
Unfortunately, we have now created a bit of a monster in Grits. He is a TEXT and CALL-aholic! I mean, does anyone else have problems with this in their home? He is driving up the phone bill. Here he is after we caught him making phone calls…he still won't tell us who he was calling. Probably ASPCA- "HELP MY MOM WON'T STOP TAKING PHOTOS OF ME" or "HELP MY UNCLE KEEPS EATING ALL MY FOOD AND I'M STARVING." I would guess one or the other.
Honestly, does Nokia need a cellphone model?
Paws Out.
